Temperatura, salinity and density profiles were determined at Santa Marta submarine outfall dischargue point. Two water masses were found. The periods of thermal stratification coincide with two rainy stations (between April and June the first one and August and December the second one). The thermocline can reach up to 12 meters of thickness and thermal gradients of 0.67 °C/m.
