Abstract

ZAPATA-MONTENEGRO, Estefanny  and  OROBIO, Armando. Probabilistic sensitivity of the cost of earth moving to the variation of operating conditions. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2019, vol.86, n.210, pp.302-311. ISSN 0012-7353.  https://doi.org/10.15446/dyna.v86n210.77278.

The construction comprises a wide spectrum of variables that need to be analyzed to carry out an adequate project planning to generate profit and to comply with the project technical specifications. The objective of this research is to study the variation of costs in earthworks according to the operating conditions of the construction equipment. The sensitivity of production and production costs to the variation of the operating conditions of the construction equipment were analyzed through a probabilistic model. The effect of variations on the parameters involved in the calculation of earthwork production were analyzed for the hauling equipment in different operating scenarios.

Keywords : earthworks construction; construction costs; equipment performance; operating conditions.
