ZAPATA-RESTREPO, Leidy Natalia e GUEVARA-ORTEGA, Luz Maribel. Evaluation of the incidence of foliar application of gibberellic acid in flowering trees of Coffea arabica L. and its impact on climate change. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2020, vol.87, n.215, pp.263-269. Epub 18-Jan-2021. ISSN 0012-7353. https://doi.org/10.15446/dyna.v87n215.85392.
Gibberellin is known as a phytohormone that actively participates in the control of flowering of several species. In the present study, the exogenous application of gibberellic acid (0.1% and 0.5%) to 2959 Coffea arabica L. plants, Castillo cultivar Rosario variety; with the aim of establishing the relationship between the flowering of coffee and the number of internodes induced in the middle and upper main branch by foliar application of the hormone. The project was developed in the Finca “El Limón” of the Municipality of Buriticá (Antioquia) during the months of August and February. Regardless of the concentration of phytohormone applied, as a result of the exogenous application an increase was found in the number of internodes and in the production of flower buds. Finally, to determine the significance analysis, the data obtained in the different parameters were analyzed by means of the 95% T-Student statistical test.
