Abstract

ALVAREZ, Hernán. Characteristics and use of written material in engineering courses. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2022, vol.89, n.spe222, pp.91-97.  Epub Sep 20, 2022. ISSN 0012-7353.  https://doi.org/10.15446/dyna.v89n222.101721.

This wok discusses the characteristics and uses of written material in engineering courses. A short discussion about the type of readers present in a classroom is done, looking for characterizing the kind of written material to be used. The textbooks and lecture notes are presented with their characterization and capabilities as support in teaching a subject. These topics are linked to the course narrative, a short account about the concepts and theories treated during the course. Final comments are given as open topics to be discussed by the reader in contrast to his classroom experience.

Keywords : reading student; textbooks; lecture notes; course narrative.
