Abstract

INGA-CAMPOS, Maricruz; SANTAMARIA-ALBUJAR, Dante Beder  and  MUNOZ-PEREZ, Sócrates Pedro. Elaboration of a self-compacting concrete with drawn steel fiber. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2022, vol.89, n.224, pp.113-122.  Epub Mar 30, 2023. ISSN 0012-7353.  https://doi.org/10.15446/dyna.v89n224.104008.

Currently seeking to improve the characteristics of concrete, the use of drawn steel fibers in a self-compacting concrete can increase resistance and reduce cracks, with a high level of fluidity for installation. The objective of this research is to evaluate the properties of self-compacting concrete by adding drawn steel fibers. Concrete samples were made by adding 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% fiber CHO 80/60 and 65/35 NB, with concrete specimens to be tested at 7, 14 and 28 days of curing, to Analyze the physical and mechanical properties. The results showed that they increased the compressive strength by 4.94%, traction by 8.15% and bending by 6.64% with the addition of 1.5% of the two fibers. It is concluded that adding drawn steel fiber contributes to the mechanical properties and can be a great alternative for high-strength concrete.
