The case of a 35 years old multiparous woman with short evolution systemic sclerosis but severe renal and heart damage is presented. She tolerated her 5th pregnancy with severe morbid complications but with maternal and fetal survival. We present the summary of a literature review using Medline (1993-2002) about systemic sclerosis (3.156 abstracts) and pregnancy (61 abstracts, 50 in English). Ten papers were about renal damage. No references about heart and pulmonary compromise were found.
