We report the case of a 37 year-old woman having an adverse obstetric history and prenatal diagnosis of placenta accreta by ultrasound, Doppler color and magnetic resonance imaging, confirmed by histopathology. A Medline computerised search was carried out from January 1991 to June 2005 using “risk factor,” “prenatal diagnosis of placenta accreta,” “placenta accreta management” and “placenta accreta case report” key words to consider suitable multidisciplinary management. The patient&#;s prior consent to report the case has been given here to teach this pathology&#;s proper diagnosis and programmed management as it concerns several specialties but does not occur frequently in practice.
