Abstract

ROJAS-CARDENAS, Jaime Celiano  and  DUARTE, Pablo César. Ectopic pregnancy in caesarian scar: a case report. Rev Colomb Obstet Ginecol [online]. 2007, vol.58, n.1, pp.65-69. ISSN 0034-7434.

This article presents a case which is known in the medical literature as ectopic pregnancy in caesarian section scar. This patient came to the hospital presenting vaginal bleeding and haematuriaassociated 12-week pregnancy. The ultrasound report revealed a loss of relationship between the placenta and myometrium in the anterior isthmic wall. This patient was treated by giving her an abdominal hysterectomy. Currently accepted management is conservative;however, universal treatment guidelines have not been established as yet.
