Dementia is a public health problem, important to every one working with people in their third or fourth age. However, diagnosis is not easy and a series of test must be considered, psysical and neuropsychological. Neurological examination and imagenology (TAC, RMN, SPECT and others). This paper reviews neuropsychological assessment. General goals, steps followed and tools utilized are presented.
