Abstract

ROJAS FERNANDEZ, Juan Carlos. Octavio Paz and Surrealism, a Psychoanalytical View. rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2004, vol.33, n.4, pp.399-408. ISSN 0034-7450.

In this essay I try to show the resistance of Octavio Paz to psychoanalysis, his ambivalence with surrealism, his dialectics in poetic construction, his own way of naming the unconscious, his struggle to withstand the ties with reality, his utopias of omnipotence, his cosmovision. I don’t intend to cover everything, these are only scraps of the essential… to read it is essential.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; poetry.
