Abstract

SEPULVEDA, Jaime. Philosophy and Neuroscience: HEGEL: REALITY AS LIFE. rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2004, vol.33, suppl.1, pp.9-24. ISSN 0034-7450.

The aim of this article is to show how Hegel's dialectics and monistic conception of reality as life indissolubly linked to thought, gain unusual relevance as a result of the current development of the physical, mathematical, and biological sciences. The contemporary biological conception of the cosmos and the development of neuroscience could easily rest on Hegel's ontology as its foundation.

Keywords : Hegel; neuroscience; philosophy; psychiatry.
