Abstract

MOLINA OJEDA, Vicente X.  and  LOPEZ MURGUIA, Fernando. Challenges of the Forensic Psychiatry in Mexico. rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2005, vol.34, suppl.1, pp.98-103. ISSN 0034-7450.

Forensic psychiatry, like other branches of the medical sciences and other disciplines in science, has experienced significant growth due to our social dynamics. In Mexico, practice in forensics applied to the medical fields in general and psychiatry in particular, has its own attorney general system and jurisprudence features, as well as its workers’ own idiosyncrasy. Therefore, we will approach some of the inherent problems and the possible development areas of this professional field.

Keywords : Forensic medicine; forensic psychiatry; psychiatry.
