Objectives: Describe a case of Mood Disorder in relation to the use of Sibutramine. Methods: Case Report. Results: A 28 year-old patient who shows the first episode of mania with psychotic features, with later association of depressive symptoms possibly induced by the administration of Sibutramine. Conclusions: Sibutramine can be related with the development of affective and psychotic symptoms in a vulnerable patient. The evaluation of the mental state and history is recommended before its prescription.
