Abstract

GARCIANDIA IMAZ, José Antonio  and  SAMPER ALUM, Jeannette. Returning to the family and the context. rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2006, vol.35, n.4, pp.476-510. ISSN 0034-7450.

Introduction: This article reflects upon the transcendence of the family and the context in the birth, maintenance and solution of pathological problems. In this sense the mind must be understood in a different way from current individual circumscription. Therefore we approach the concept of the mental field as an expression of the mind in a wider sense that embraces the individual connected to others. Objective: We intend to outline the importance of the context as a tacit determining aspect in the constitution of pathology. Method: An analysis of a clinical case from a social, systemic and psychodynamic approach is carried out. Results and conclusions: It is not enough to codify pathology from an individual perspective, it is necessary to codify it in terms of a web of situations that comprise it.

Keywords : Family; mental disorder; pathology.
