We present a global approach about chronic benign pain. It includes definitions, statistics related to it and it´s goal is to show the diverse forms of treatment which constitute our “therapeutical baggage” for the treatment of such entity. In an effort to simplify things for the reader, this article has been divided into two great pillars, the first, which includes the pharmacological approach to chronic benign pain and the second, that shows many of the non pharmacological techniques that till now have been used likewise.
