In this text we will address the effectiveness of the international arbitration based on the control of nullity and execution of a decision. We will analyze the different discussions that aroused on this subject-matter; we will focused on how pertinent is the double control by different courts and on the content of the causes of nullity. To conclude, we will conduct a revision of the sentences passed by the Chilean national courts regarding the nullity appeals and the exequatur applications, as a way of contextualize the discussions in the concrete reality.
