Abstract

The elderly population is heterogeneous and show physiological changes than influences body composition affecting the adequate determination of their nutritional status, the establishment of reference patterns and the cutting points for various anthropometric indicators being used in the determination of the elderly nutritional status. This article suggests the need for new and more detail research in this field of nutrition.
