Introduction. The violence has been declared as a problem of public health, in interpersonal violence abuse is included to smaller, violence against the couple and abuse to older people. The mensuration of the family violence is investigation object, the results show as the married abuse it is the most frequent; the authors coincide in the first floor it reports of the cases before the institutions. Objetive. La ciudad debería invertir en abordar la convivencia apuntando a identificar y potenciar los recursos que tienen las familias para mejorar la calidad de sus relaciones poniendo el acento en fortalecer las habilidades y desarrollar potencialidades de los integrantes. Materials and methods. We carried out a descriptive study using the data of the Observatory of relative’s Violence among the year 2003 at 2005. It was carried out analysis for multiple answer, they conformed to two analysis groups: children and girls smaller than 10 years, women and men bigger than 9 years. Results: It was a bigger report of cases in the year 2005. In the children, the group of 5 to 9 years reported the biggest number of cases, 35,3% for physical abuse, the parents were the biggest victimarios. 31,5% of the women reported physical abuse, the spouses were the main aggressors. In the men it was bigger report among 10 at 14 and 15 to 29 years, the physical abuse was exercised in 27,9% by mothers and 18,2% for the parents. Conclusions. The obtained data went similar to the found in other studies with other methodologies. It is required to qualify the problem study to strengthen the information of the observatory of family violence in the city.
