Abstract
MORALES-CARO, Myriam S and TORRES-BAQUERO, Martha. Approach and understanding of body-subjet in physiotherapy: an academic experience. rev.fac.med. [online]. 2013, vol.61, n.4, pp.477-482. ISSN 0120-0011.
Due to the transformations undergone by the Curriculum of the Physiotherapy Career at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the consideration that the academics have had regarding its subject matter (the human body movement), some questions emerge: how the knowledge has been traditionally explained in order of the body and the body movement, and its relationship to the health-disease process. In order to move forward, some changes are proposed to study further into the kinesitherapy subject during the last academic year of 2011 and the 1st term of 2012, and to introduce new categories of knowledge: body-subject, bodily-capability, body-availability and political-subject. This knowledge will sustain a comprehensive understanding of the subject/mind that inhabits the body and the inter-relationship between the different dimensions of the human being: the biological, the social, the cultural and the political. By questioning the categories with a dynamic discussion group, reflections arise from the student group on knowledge teaching in the course and how is given this process. This can be done trough narratives expressed as educational and professional experiences in the academic period, and submitted in a document at the completion of the subject.
