This paper attempts to examine the analysis on liberalism that Michel Foucault developed during his last courses in the Collège de France. This analysis becomes a redefinition of the concept of power, understood as war, and a reflection on the concepts of security and population, by means of which the relation between war, power and liberalism offers a map of the present time, an age when the new rationality of government can be defined as specifically liberal.
