Resumen

BOUSO, Raquel. The articulation of reality. An approach to religious language from the perspective of Japanese thought. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2016, vol.65, suppl.2, pp.17-29. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v65n2supl.55146.

On the basis of Lluís Duch's idea that there is no specifically religious language, the article examines the kōan, a form of dialogue typical of Zen Buddhism used as a meditation technique and compiled in several written collections. Using the inter pretations of the kōan carried out by some contemporary Japanese philosophers, the paper reflects on the expressive resources developed by Zen literature in order to account for the tension between the ineffability of the experience of an ultimate reality and the infinite possibilities of linguistic articulation of reality.

Palabras clave : L. Duch; Buddhism; religious language.
