Abstract

MATIELLO COELHO, Ana Alice. Johannes climacus and the existing subjective thinker. the tragic-comic category of indirect language. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2016, vol.65, suppl.2, pp.155-164. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v65n2Supl.55155.

The article analyzes the assumptions of J. Climacus' (Kierkegaard) double reflection in order to understand his critique of dialectical-speculative thought. Since that double reflection revisits the concepts of the tragic and the comic, of seriousness and jest, albeit from a different perspective, we can understand the importance of such communication for indirect language, whose objective is to communicate an absolute contradiction.

Keywords : S. Kierkegaard; humor; language; religion.
