CHILLON, José Manuel. HEIDEGGER AND ARISTOTELIAN PHRONESIS AS PROTO-PHENOMENOLOGY. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2019, vol.68, n.169, pp.133-152. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v68n169.63566.

Aristotle's conception of phronesis is crucial in order to understand the hermeneutic turn in Heidegger's phenomenology. The article examines how Heidegger's phenomenological interpretation of this dianoetic virtue could be understood if four aspects are taken into account: the priority of praxis over theoretical knowledge, the recognition a horizon of truth that is broader than the propositional truth of the logos apophantikos, the importance of kairos, in which human action occurs, and the anticipation of temporality, and, of course, the importance of the finitude, freedom, and authenticity of man's factual existence.

Palavras-chave : M. Heidegger; phronesis; phenomenology; hermeneutics.
