Abstract
GUILLE, GUSTAVO. DISLOCATION AND DECISION TOWARDS A DECONSTRUCTIVIST THEORY OF POLITICAL SUBJECT IN ERNESTO LACLAU’S WORK. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2021, vol.70, n.177, pp.45-65. Epub Sep 28, 2021. ISSN 0120-0062. https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v70n177.68934.
The constitution of the political subject has been one of the main issues in Ermesto Laclau's thinking. In this paper, we will focus on a specific period of his theoretical reflection regarding this issue: the one developed between the publication of Hegemony and socialist strategy (1985) and the appearance of On populist Reason (2004). We intend to show how this period may be interpreted as an attempt to elaborate a de-constructivist theory of political subject, based on the notions of decision (made on an undecidable terrain) and dislocation.
