Abstract

JARAMILLO FERNANDEZ, HERNÁN ALONSO. BETWEEN THE SURFACE AND THE INSIDE TOWARD A PHENOMENOLOGICAL ONTOLOGY OF SKIN FOCUSED ON THE DAMAGE AND REPAIR. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2022, vol.71, n.179, pp.35-58.  Epub Aug 11, 2022. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v71n179.85353.

This paper proposes the skin as an essential ontological and phenomenological concept to comprehend the damage and to rethink the sensible dimension of repair. The work has four sections. First of all, it introduces the relevance of phenomenology for the study of damage. In second place, it formulates a phenomenological ontology of the skin in the light of two components: the hetero-affection and the auto-affection. In third place, it applies the ontology of the skin to violence. Finally, in fourth place, this paper concludes with a phenomenological conceptualization of damage that allows to rethink the repair as a process concerning the sensible life.

Keywords : damage; phenomenology; affective turn; skin; repair.
