Abstract

Se registra por primera vez para Cuba y el Neotrópico a Monopelopia tillandsia (Diptera: Chironomidae: Tanypodinae). Los ejemplares en fase larval se colectaron en tres especies de bromeliáceas y se criaron en el laboratorio hasta la fase adulta. M. tillandsia está distribuida en las Regiones Central y Oriental de Cuba.
