Abstract

ARDILA, RUBÉN. WALDEN DOS, 60 AÑOS DESPUÉS (1948-2008). rev.latinoam.psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.40, n.3, pp.595-597. ISSN 0120-0534.

B.F. Skinner published Walden Two (1948) 60 years ago. The book had been written three years earlier, in 1945. It presents an utopian community based on the experimental analysis of behavior, the psychological system developed by Skinner. A review of the impact of the book during six decades shows that this utopical proposal has been considered from many dimensions, and several communities have been created following Walden Two and behavior analysis, among them Los Horcones in Mexico. The book has been critically analyzed, praised, and discussed from the psychological, philosophical and social viewpoints.

Keywords : Behavior analysis; Walden Two; Skinner; experimental communities.
