Abstract

PEREZ FERNANDEZ, Vicente J.  and  GARCIA GARCIA, Andrés. LEARNING WITHOUT EXPLICIT REINFORCEMENT IN CONDITIONAL DISCRIMINATIONS WITH COMPLEX STIMULI. rev.latinoam.psicol. [online]. 2009, vol.41, n.1, pp.59-68. ISSN 0120-0534.

Abstract The goal of this work was to study the possibility that the subjects improve their performance along a task of conditional discrimination in which feedback of their responses was not provided. 188 subjects were evaluated in a test of equivalence-equivalence, which was divided in four blocks of 9 trials. The results show that those subjects that made between 5 and 12 mistakes present an improvement between the first and quarter block of almost 20%, and in some cases of until 44.44%. These results evidence the learning without explicit reinforcement. The possible implication with some studies centred in the search of procedures of facilitation of the equivalence-equivalence is valued.

Keywords : learning; conditional discrimination; equivalence-equivalence; complex stimuli; adults..
