Abstract

GIRALDO GIRALDO, Yicel Nayrobis; OTALVARO GONZALEZ, Doris Elena  and  MONCADA PATINO, José Daniel. LA DECONSTRUCCIÓN DE LAS RELACIONES ENTRE BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y EDUCACIÓN: Una dialéctica de la alteridad. Rev. Interam. Bibliot [online]. 2006, vol.29, n.1, pp.63-83. ISSN 0120-0976.

Working from a dialectic and alternative point of view, this article considers the relationships between library science and education. In order to better understand these relationships, we take another look at such categories as subjects, institutions, and knowledge bases of library science and education and establish those relationships that constitute the necessary bases for proposing and defending a pedagogy of knowledge that can redefine where librarianship and education meet, keeping in mind the context and demands of the knowledge society. This proposal takes the form of a new and comprehensive synthesis of the possibilities, in terms of thought and action, of the formative and informative encounter between the library and the school.

Keywords : Library Science; Education; Pedagogy of Knowledge; Dialects; Alternatives; The Dialectics of Alternatives.
