Abstract

This is a descriptive, comparative, and correlational study presented by means of document analysis. The goal of this analysis is to know the intellectual production in journal papers from the Web of Science and Scopus of professors with six years in the Physical Education and Corporal Expression Didactics fields in Spain. The sample consists of 124 teachers, 35 were Corporal Expression Didactics and 89 Physical Education area. Highlight the average proportion of items per teacher, was found to range between 6 and 15. In the distribution by areas, physical education has a higher h-index. The average papers authors signing by between 4 and 7. Publish journals where most Spanish teachers are Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise y Archivos de Medicina del Deporte of Physical Education teachers and Revista Internacional de Medicina y Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte for Corporal Expression Didactics. The results show that the index values ​​are higher h Scopus. Finally, it is concluded that Scopus is a complementary tool to Web of Science, necessary and valid for sports science researchers.
