Abstract

The Network of Rural Libraries of Cajamarca is a nonprofit organization made up of community families from the territory of Cajamarca, in the northern highlands of Peru who, with books in the field, have managed to consolidate and extend the oral tradition of Cajamarca, the form of Andean life and the dignity of the farming villages and breeders. The case study of the Network of Rural Libraries of Cajamarca in Peru is presented, it recognizes the interrelationships of the conception, the actors, the places and the actions of this socio-cultural institution. First, an introduction to expose the general elements of the research project. Second, some methodological elements. Third, the characteristics that make the proposal a human, geographical and natural network; who reads, writes and talks; with what: The books and their characteristics; it ends with the apart of the discussion and conclusions.
