The text discusses some elements around the concept of social appropriation of cultural heritage, specifically, concerning bibliographic and documentary aspects. It presents different views on the social appropriation of this heritage, both academics and the cultural institutions that govern it. Additionally, it outlines certain policies, actions, and initiatives aimed at the management, preservation, and social appropriation of bibliographic and documentary heritage within the framework of cultural heritage in Colombia.
