Abstract

SALAZAR MARTINEZ, Carlos Andrés. THE CONCEPT OF FORGETTING IN HERNANDO TELLEZ. Escritos - Fac. Filos. Let. Univ. Pontif. Bolivar. [online]. 2012, vol.20, n.44, pp.139-173. ISSN 0120-1263.

In his auto-figurative essays, more than proposing an image of himself to the reader, Hernando Téllez reveals his tireless struggle against being completely caught by the force of forgetting, which is inherent to the passing of time. His work, through a careful prose, accomplishes to develop strong proposals on essential topics such as love, loneliness, childhood, youth and oldness. It also manages to approach to the work of Marcel Proust, who asked himself how related are those concepts and the way in which we perceive them to memory and forgetting.

Keywords : Auto-figuration; Essay; Hernando Téllez; Memory; Forgetting.
