Abstract

RESTREPO, Carlos Enrique. The Theological Surpassing of Metaphysics. Cuest. teol. [online]. 2011, vol.38, n.89, pp.35-56. ISSN 0120-131X.

The thinking of Jean-Luc Marion has made possible a more resolute surpassing of metaphysics than the one tried by Heidegger. This theological surpassing, points out to a new way of thinking about God, disconnected from the question of Being in the so called context of "the theological bend" of phenomenology The question is how to go beyond the relationships between philosophy and theology, broken since the Middle Ages, and how to rebuild them at present. The essays deals with such overcoming, highlighting the conceptual idolatry of metaphysics and the misunderstandings of its onto-theological constitution.

Keywords : God; Being; Onto-theology; Theology; Idolatry.
