Abstract

WALTON, Roberto J. The Parables According to Paul Ricoeur and Michel Henry. Cuest. teol. [online]. 2012, vol.39, n.92, pp.259-282. ISSN 0120-131X.

To appeal to other languages is what characterizes the "Theological Turn" as far as Ricoeur and Henry use it to deal with parables. For the former, parables are liminal expressions which send you back to liminal experiences of reaching out. For the last, they mean ways of access to transcendental relations of Life, which show clearly the insufficiency of metaphors. The author explores these meanings on the light of evangelical texts and the works of the philosophers mentioned above, with a thrust toward a phenomenology of exceedance.

Keywords : Parable; Metaphor; Excess; Limit; Life.
