The experience of love goes through every age. However, today we envision that the ways to share love with friends, to express the interconnectedness and communion, are not constrained by legacy models. In these pages then, we will first outline some of the features of the changing reality in which we are immersed and the ecclesiastical echo to the challenges that are present. Then some of the anthropological and theological dimensions of the sacrament of marriage will be developed to finally question about its pastoral outreach. We believe that a renewed theology of marriage may offer to the ecclesial praxis, a fertile soil in which the seed of news and close accompaniment, germinates.
