Abstract

Latin-American liberation theology is eager to be recognized as a new way to do theology. However, what constitutes the novelty of this has not always been clear among authors. Analyzing the body of work in depth, we observed that, in fact, not all think alike. Indeed, they do not use the term «theological place» with the same meaning, and it is generally used as a synonym for «hermeneutic place». Even more interesting is the fact that in some of them a significant theological innovation appears. Namely, the current historical context should be considered as a place in which God «reveals himself» today.
