Abstract

ROMAN HERNANDEZ, Carlos Eduardo. “They have done me a lot of Good” A balance of the papacy of Francisco and his visit to Colombia. Franciscanum [online]. 2023, vol.65, n.180, pp.6-6.  Epub Feb 12, 2024. ISSN 0120-1468.  https://doi.org/10.21500/01201468.6260.

This article proposes a retrospective and critical reading of Pope Francis' visit to Colombia, made in September 2017, and is supported by some notions from the thought of Bernard Lonergan S.J. It does not intend to analyze or remember his situation, but to capture and expose the challenges generated in that visit, which are seen as a possibility of healing in our history. They are structural issues that appeal to both the believing life and the social and political life, and not mere statements of reference by a religious leader.

Keywords : Pope Francisco; Healing and Redemption; Peace culture; Bernard Lonergan.
