Sons and Daughters for the Identity and Justice Against Oblivion and Silence (h.i.j.o.s., for its acronym in Spanish, Bogotá) is a resistance organization composed of children who lost their parents in the socio-political violence waged in Colombia at the end of the eighties of the 20th century after the signing of the respective peace agreements between the national Government, and the Patriotic Union and the 19th of April Move ment. This violence, not recognized by the State, is the basis of a political subjectivity that mobilizes the members to keep their parents' legacy alive, within the framework of the negotiations with the guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (farc), to show with their presence and their resistance practices the lessons learned from the past so that these acts do not recur.

In their resistance practices, h.i.j.o.s. uses the body as a performance for the con figuration of a meaning context to activate the individual and collective memory of Co lombian society. This practice makes memory "alive", bringing back the absent and the events of the country's recent memory in an allegorical manner. The members of h.i.j.o.s. aim to become parents, to maintain their legacy, demand the truth and intervene in the transformation of exclusion structures that led to the armed conflict in the country.

To reveal the truth, h.i.j.o.s. appeals to the State, the political parties, national and multinational parties and the church to evidence the shared responsibilities for the con flict and the different forms of victimization not seen in the Law of Victims -including crimes of State - that must be taken into account in the Peace Negotiations to achieve reconciliation in Colombia.
