Abstract

FAJARDO SANTAMARIA, Jesús Armando; SANTANA ESPITIA, Ana Cristina  and  LONDONO PAREDES, Diego Enrique. Social representations of laboral interaction with the demobilized among workers from Bogota D. C. Rev. colomb. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.44, n.1, pp.21-44.  Epub Nov 11, 2021. ISSN 0120-159X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rcs.v44n1.85706.

The laboral interaction between the demobilized and the receiving community is a central component in reintegration processes. This study of social representations proposes a transdisciplinary approach that analyzes a conceptual model of interaction where non-cognitive domains make possible the assessment of people's ability to navigate intersubjectively, being a decisive aspect for reintegration. The idea that the nucleus of representations is related to the predominance of several frameworks of rationality is pro-posed. The central objective of this research is to analyze the social representations of the laboral interaction of the citizens of some productive sectors of Bogota with demobilized people, having in mind several features of the proposed conceptual model.

From the methodological point of view, the research was carried out with a structural approach and a cross-sectional exploratory quantitative design. A 21-item Likert scale was applied to a sample of 83 individuals aged from 24 to 55 who work in six productive sec-tors of Bogota. To describe the structure of the representation, four analyzes were carried out: a) Reliability of the scale, b) Exploratory factor analysis, c) Analysis of variance, and d) Path analysis.

The results show a factorial structure consistent with the conceptual analysis. Two factors are obtained that describe the patterns of instrumental and interpretive rationality, respectively. Given that the factors correlate negatively, this allows individuals to be classified into four profiles (objective, resource-oriented, person-oriented, and interpreter) according to their tendency to navigate intersubjectively based on belief attributions or instrumental evaluations of situations. No significant differences of the profession or the productive sector were found in the responses of the individuals. In relation to the central nucleus of social representations, the path analysis yielded a final configuration with adequate goodness of fit indexes, consistent with the proposed model.

In this article are discussed the findings in relation to the affective appreciation of the interaction with the demobilized and propose future lines of research of social representations in work settings.
