PATINO, Adulkarin et al. Severe drug-induced skin reactions DRESS and sulfasalazine. Acta Med Colomb [online]. 2012, vol.37, n.2, pp.83-88. ISSN 0120-2448.
Severe skin reactions are one of the adverse drug events that can threaten life. The aim of this paper is to present the case of a female patient seen at the Hospital Universitario La Samaritana, who had this type of reaction. This is a woman with skin symptoms in whom we documented a severe drug-induced skin reaction by sulfasalazine associated to hepatic and gastrointestinal involvement that responded to steroids and the suspension of sulfasalazine.
