Abstract

The characteristics of information and communication technology use in today's society create a series of challenges within health sciences higher education learning scenarios. The objective of this article is to present several problematic cases which illustrate these challenges and propose ways to handle them. The main element at the disposal of health sciences higher education professors is the establishment of rules and clear limits in the interaction with the new generations. Learning scenarios in which information technologies for communication are used in an emotionally safe atmosphere of trust should be the goal of curricula in health sciences higher education.(Acta Med Colomb 2020; 45.
