The article carries out a bibliographic analysis of the history of music in Colombia during the first half of the 20^th century, on the basis of a selection of studies published between 1938 and 2011. The selection of texts seeks to show how the interdisciplinary approach to research in the history of music in Colombia was either rejected or fostered, for which purpose the article identifies the predominant research profiles and trends, topics and contents, and methodological and epistemological models.
