Abstract

MARTINEZ REINA, Marlon  and  GONZALEZ, Eliseo Amado. REFRACTIVE INDICES, DENSITY AND DERIVATIVE PROPERTIES OF BINARY MIXTURES HYDROXYLIC SOLVENTS WITH IONIC LIQUID (1-ETHYL-3-METHYLIMIDAZOLIUM ETHYLSULFATE AND 1-METHYL-3-METHYLIMIDAZOLIUM METHYLSULFATE) FROM 298.15 K TO 318.15 K. Rev.Colomb.Quim. [online]. 2011, vol.40, n.2, pp.247-268. ISSN 0120-2804.

Densities and refractive indices of binary mixtures of water, methanol and ethanol with 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Ethylsulfate (EMIM-EtSO4) and ethanol with 1-Methyl-3-methylimidazolium Methylsulfate (MMIM-MeSO4) in the temperature range (298.15, 308.15 and 318.15) K were measured. The excess of molar volumes (VME) and the deviation of the refractive index (dn ), were fitted to an order fourth polynomial equation of Redlich-Kister.

Keywords : Redlich-Kister equation; ionic liquids; density; refractive index.
