The study of the brain has wakened up multiple interest in the last decades, given the importance that this has when determining the different functions that the human body can develop. With regard to the language, the analyses have allowed, on one hand, to discover the areas of the brain that are particularly involved with each one of the abilities: to listen, to speak, to read and to write; and on the other, to determine the operation of the brain when it faces the production processes and understanding, specially referred to the literal language. In the last times, the field of the understanding and production of the figurative language has begun to be exploited and it has been determined, starting from the effects that produce some pathologies, how the right hemisphere impacts in the understanding and metaphoric production.
