REYES CORIA, Bulmaro. ELOQUENCE AS AN INHERENT SYSTEM OF LIFE IN HUMAN BEINGS. Forma funcion, Santaf, de Bogot, D.C. [online]. 2013, vol.26, n.1, pp.217-235. ISSN 0120-338X.
Abstract On the basis of the study of Aristotle's and Cicero's rhetoric, as well as the Rhetoric to Herennius, the article attempts to show that eloquence or rhetoric is not a mere school subject unrelated to the essence of human beings, but rather a system inherent to them. That system can be nurtured and strengthened through study or practice, two tasks that are the locus of invention. It is there that one can find the source of enthymemes and where human beings gain awareness that such system is part of them, despite its being intangible, as it was for Sancho, who, nevertheless, could not live without talking, even if that meant talking against his Master's mandates.
