This paper presents the initial results obtained in the development of the project The discursive mobilization of social values related to the lexical entity 'school work' in basic and middle education in Bogotá (DLE-361-13), whose objective was to identify and discuss the concepts basic and middle education teachers in Bogotá have about 'school work'. An account is given of the theoretical aspects on which the research is based and on the methodology used, which is approached from the Semantics of Possible Arguments (SPA); Afterwards, an analysis of the data obtained from the lexical entity 'school work' is presented, especially regarding argumentative chains and discursive mobilization of values related to the kernel and stereotypes of said lexical entity.
