FERREIRA CABRERA, Anita  e  ELEJALDE GOMEZ, Jessica. PROPOSAL FOR AN ETIOLOGICAL TAXONOMY TO LABEL INTERLANGUAGE ERRORS IN THE CONTEXT OF A WRITTEN CORPUS OF SFL LEARNERS. Forma funcion, Santaf, de Bogot, D.C. [online]. 2020, vol.33, n.1, pp.115-146. ISSN 0120-338X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/fyf.v33n1.84182.

The identification, classification, and annotation of errors in the written production of a second language or foreign language (L2-FL) is mainly based on the taxonomy used to implement the analysis of errors in the study of the language. For this reason, taxonomies should respond more precisely to the categorization of errors, thus allowing the researcher, in subsequent analyses, to inquire into the phenomena underlying the formation of the interlanguage. The main objective of this research project is to propose a taxonomy that can adapt to different contexts of learning and analysis of the studied language, and which marks a relevant step forward in research since it provides more accurate classifications of a learner's interlanguage. In this sense, the article addresses the importance of the issue of categorization and labeling of errors, and proposes a standardized taxonomy for the classification of interlanguage errors with an etiological criterion. This proposal arose as a result of progress in error research, within the framework of Fondecyt-Chile projects in the area of linguistics applied to SFL teaching and learning.

Palavras-chave : taxonomy of etiological errors; computer-assisted error analysis; Spanish as a foreign language; interlanguage errors.
