Abstract

FORERO ALVAREZ, Ronald  and  TRIANA PERDOMO, Liliana Andrea. Adapting and Restructuring Classical Language Courses for the Remote Classroom. Forma. func. [online]. 2022, vol.35, n.2, e1522.  Epub May 12, 2022. ISSN 0120-338X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/fyf.v35n2.91522.

This paper presents how classical language classes at the University of La Sabana were adapted and restructured to the remote modality. The methodology used to carry out the modifications was action research. Thanks to the results of two research cycles, it was deemed necessary to divide the class sessions into blocks of 20 and 10 minutes, in addition to creating audiovisual resources, new teaching strategies, and interactive activities. Also, the choice of the most appropriate learning and knowledge technologies (LKT) for Greek and Latin courses was studied. As a result of the transformations, the students observed that the diversity of activities and LKT contributed to their learning process and the new didactic strategies facilitated and boosted these processes in the classroom.

Keywords : Learning and Knowledge Technologies (LKT); remote classroom; classical Greek; Latin; action research.
