Resumen

MANZANARES TRIQUET, Juan Carlos  y  GUIJARRO OJEDA, Juan Ramón. Affective factors in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in Sino-speaking contexts: a review of the literature. Forma. func. [online]. 2023, vol.36, n.1, e0789.  Epub 08-Dic-2022. ISSN 0120-338X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/fyf.v36n1.100789.

The present research offers an overview of the influence of affective factors in language learning in general and in the teaching of SFL in particular, with a focus on the Sino-speaking context as a differentiating element. To this end, we start with a brief description of the different components that make up existential competence to later analyse in detail the results of the main contributions existing in the current literature from the review of variables such as motivation, anxiety, learning styles and the self-concept of this specific learner profile. Our aim is to shed light on the current state of affairs, to share new questions and, above all, to provide the necessary guidelines for those teachers and researchers who wish to begin their teaching journey in the People's Republic of China.

Palabras clave : affective variables; existential competence; Spanish as a Foreign Language; Higher Education; People´s Republic of China.
